About the Experience
What language is the theme in?
The entire show will be conducted in English. However, if you're interested in Mandarin shows, please email us to inquire about availability.
What is the duration of the experience?
The entire experience, including costume changes and a final wrap-up, lasts approximately 140 minutes (inclusive of approx 20 mins optional story debrief at the end of the game).
How many actors are available during the show?
During the show, you will interact with 6 to 8 Non-Player Characters (NPCs), who are an integral part of your immersive journey.
Will there be any loud noises or special effects during the show?
Yes, to enhance the immersive nature of the experience, there will be sudden gunshot sounds as our actors use prop firearms when appropriate. You can also expect other sound and lighting effects throughout the performance.
What kind of interactions or activities can I expect during the session?
You'll immerse yourself in a party atmosphere, joining a faction and working with your team to win the game. This involves solving puzzles, interacting with our actors, exploring the environment, and investigating the intricate relationships and hidden stories behind the characters.
Is the experience suitable for children or teenagers? What is the recommended age?
The experience is recommended for participants aged 12 and above.
Can I take photos or videos during the experience?
We have a dedicated photographer who will capture moments throughout the show, and a link to these photos will be provided the following day. You are welcome to take your own photos, but video recording is strictly prohibited to maintain the immersive atmosphere for all participants.
What is the theme about?
Our theme transports you to 1930's Shanghai, a unique "Isolated Island" during wartime. You'll step into the world of Master Meng, a revered physician from one of the Four Great Families, as he prepares to announce his retirement and gift the city a revolutionary medicine: Sulfadiazine. His 50th birthday banquet is a pivotal event where the city's elite gather, eager to gain favor and access to this invaluable resource.
Do I need to know anything about Chinese history to enjoy the experience?
No prior knowledge of Chinese history is required to enjoy the experience. However, we recommend reading our background story and faction guidelines before your session to better understand the setting and the various powers at play.
Booking & Logistics
How do I book tickets?
Simply click the "Buy Tickets" button on our main page to place your order.
Anything I need to do after the booking?
Yes! After your payment is complete, you will need to fill out a form to design your character. If you have booked multiple tickets, each guest in your booking must complete their own form. Our team will be in touch with you before the show if any forms are missing.
How many people are in each session?
Each session accommodates up to 11 people.
Can I book a private session?
Yes, private bookings are available. However, you’ll need to contact us in advance to confirm that your preferred time slot is available, and you must purchase at least 8 tickets to reserve the session.
What are your operating hours and days?
Please check our home page and booking page for our current availabilities and operating schedule.
What is your cancellation or refund policy?
Once a booking is placed, no refunds will be provided. In the rare event that we do not have enough participants to run a session, we will contact all booked guests to arrange a transfer to another session or offer a full refund.
Preparation & Accessibility
Are costumes provided, and what sizes are available?
Yes, we provide authentic period costumes to enhance your experience. Females will receive a Cheongsam (旗袍) and males a Changshan (长衫). Guests are welcome to choose a costume typically worn by the other gender if they prefer. Our costume sizes range from S to 6XL.
What should I wear (besides provided costumes)?
We suggest wearing a T-shirt and black pants as your base layer. A pair of comfortable shoes is a must as you will be walking and moving around throughout the experience. High heels are not recommended.
Is there parking available near the venue?
Our venue is located within Melbourne's Chinatown. Street parking and public car parks are available nearby. Please remember to check local parking signs for rates and restrictions.
Can I bring my bag or belongings into the experience? Are there lockers available?
For your convenience and the safety of your belongings, we provide a secure room where we will lock your items during the experience.
Is there food or drink available or allowed inside the venue?
Water is allowed inside the venue. However, food and other beverages are prohibited to maintain the integrity of the space and costumes.
